Project – K Korean Film Festival 10th Edition 2021
The 10th Korean Film Festival Frankfurt took place from October 20th to 31st, 2021. To celebrate its 10th anniversary the motto of the festival was “Identity”. The “What’s your ID?” campaign offered the Project K – Team and the over 1,120 visitors the opportunity to look back on the last 10 years and to question their own identities within the context of transnationalism. The movies selected for screening and the online podcasts and discussions reflected the topic of the year. The Korean Studies Department at Goethe University had the role of distributing materials, promoting the event to students and within the university in general, and participating in the events.
Event Highlights:
Special guest appearances and opening words by the Consul General the Republic of South Korea, the Hessian Minister of Science and Culture, and the mayor of Frankfurt.
10 hotspots around Frankfurt where visitors could learn about and experience aspects of Korean culture such as pottery, traditional music, and others. Music concerts by bands such as Jinspark.
